WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh of the Seattle Seahawks is on the verge of either being traded or released out right. The team seems to feel he has yet to live up to the contract in which was signed only 1 season ago. A 5 year 40 Million Dollar deal.
Paul Allen has more money than he knows what to do with. How does releasing or trading TJ help your team? By all accounts he’s a great locker room guy, and he played his college ball in Pacific Northwest. So this development makes no since.
If TJ is released or traded, it will create an opening in the starting lineup for former USC receiver Mike Williams. Last time I checked Mike was better at catching Twinkies and Ding Dongs than deep routes from his QB. Only Pete, would stand by “his guy” like this. No other team was willing to give him a shot, and now Pete and the Seahawks are looking to move arguably there best target to get Big Mike on the field.
Is this the first of what could be a series of mistakes by the new head coach? That remains to be seen, but I sure can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
