In the latest of a series of scandals in the Cycling world, Alberto Contador is the newest Tour de France winner to test positive for a banned PED. The UCI says “very small concentration” of clenbuterol was found in both of Contador’s A and B urine samples.
Its time to realize that the sport is tainted and the strict drug enforcement only tarnishes the sport. Contador has won 3 of the last for Tour de France races. The only time he lost was to stripped winner Floyd Landis. And its widely suspected that the tours greatest champion Lance Armstrong used PED’s.
I’m not saying allow all drugs, but when you find that a minimal amount of clenbuterol is found in urine, its probably in your sports interest to just keep quiet. Cycling is already just something people casually talk about and to be honest, with zero credibility the only publicity you receive is negative.
Good luck with the latest scandal, but I think this might have been the last straw for many…
