College football kicks-off tomorrow evening. Hard work, dedication, and dreams all begin for all 119 division 1-A college level athlete’s. And with that only 64 Teams have a shot at a bowl, a little more than half. While only 10 teams will play in a BCS bowl.
So who will those 10 be? Well, that’s what I’m here to tell you.
Will start east and work our way west, because we all know most of you fans hate the west coast and only want the east coast news.
The ACC Championship Game will feature Florida St versus Virginia Tech. Florida St. gets the nod not only because they’re the best program in this weak conference, both Miami & North Carolina will be non factors this season after all the off season recruiting scandals.
I give West Virgina the nod in the Big East this season. Bill Stewart is walking on Egg Shell’s out in the back woods of West Virginia. If he does’t win, he’s out mid season, if he does win, he’s out after the season. So he’s playing for his future job, with that in mind he’ll have the mountaineers ready to play.
The Big 12 or the newly formed “Small 10” will be as interesting as ever. The Texas Longhorns form their own network with ESPN, causing A&M and its Aggies to grow jealous and make reckless decisions. Which is why I think its only perfect for the 2 schools to battle it out at the Conference Title Game. A&M will be shaking Dr Pepper all over the field come championship weekend and they’re my pick for the Big 12 Championship
The Big Ten will see Wisconsin and newly enshrined Nebraska battle it out with the Huskers and Heisman Hopeful Taylor Martinez taking the inaugural Big 10 Championship
The SEC will display South Carolina and Alabama in its title game, and to be perfectly honest, I want to pick Florida. But this is the year that Steve Spurrier pulls it off and proves to the masses that he’s more than a passing guru. His quarterback Stephen Garcia was recently reinstated, he knows the offense, and is tough as nails. While there running back Marcus Lattimore is my pick for the Heisman. South Carolina and the Gamecocks will bowl over Eastern Division and knock off Alabama, cashing their 1st ticket to the BCS Title Game
Your Pac 12 Championship game should feature Stanford versus USC, who will likely finish with the conferences best record. But we will end up seeing Stanford playing Arizona in its 1st Championship Title game. My nod here goes to Heisman Hopeful Andrew Luck and the Cardinals.
So with all of those predictions, here is how I have it playing out for all the BCS Match-Ups in January.
Rose Bowl – Wisconsin vs Stanford
Fiesta Bowl – Texas A&M vs Notre Dame
Orange Bowl – West Virginia vs Florida St
Sugar Bowl – Florida vs Texas
BCS Title Game (New Orleans) – Nebraska vs South Carolina
Your 2011-2012 BCS Champion – Nebraska Cornhuskers
